Why work for Triage
Our vision of ‘helping people succeed’ extends to our employees as well as to the people on our programmes.

Our people are our most valuable asset.

It is because of our employees that we are in a position to help our participants and learners make positive changes in their lives, whether that be through moving into employment or through gaining skills qualifications.

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Leader. Disability Confident organisations (like Triage) play a leading role in changing attitudes for the better. We are changing behaviour and cultures in our own businesses, networks and communities, and reaping the benefits of inclusive recruitment practices.

About us

Triage provides a range of education, skills and employability services that help people secure a job, progress in the workplace and build meaningful careers.

Delivering from locations across Scotland and England, Triage works with local, regional and national stakeholders to deliver government-led initiatives in the skills and employability sector. We work in partnership with public, private and community organisations to deliver a range of education, skills and employability programmes that respond to social and economic growth agendas.

The Triage way

At Triage we don’t just do things a certain way because ‘that’s how they’ve always been done’, we do things a certain way because that’s our culture and our values help shape that.

In the past we have found it hard to articulate our culture, we talk about the ‘Triage way’, ‘it feels like a family’, ‘I never want to leave’ but we could never put our finger on it! Why did we feel so strongly about Triage and a culture we couldn’t explain?

The answer we came to was that our culture is a feeling. Working at Triage makes us feel a certain way, and the best relationships are often with people (and companies!) who make you feel good. At Triage, the way we do things makes our teams and the people on our programmes feel good – we want to help people be the best they can be, and our culture helps us do that.

Making a difference

At Triage we love to make a difference to the lives of the people on our programmes. We treat our participants and learners with respect and always strive to go that little bit further.

Teamwork plays a big part when it comes to delivering an excellent service – we learn from each other and no ask is too big. Managers and colleagues genuinely care about each other – it’s one of the things that our people tell us they value most when it comes to working at Triage.
