About the role

We are expanding our team and are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Trainer/Assessors. You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of training and qualifications, assisting individuals to improve specific skills and move them closer to their personal goals, and/or closer to employment. 

Your role will involve delivering engaging training sessions, assessing learners' progress, and providing personalised guidance to help them achieve their learning goals. 

This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a passion for education, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners

This role will be based in Tees valley but there is a requirement to travel across the region from time to time (travel expenses provided.)

Required criteria:

 • Previous experience in customer facing, training, education or learning environments.

 • Training qualification such as PTTLS, Education and Training or CAVA (or willingness to work towards one within the role.)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with learners from diverse backgrounds

• Strong literacy, numeracy and digital skills are essential, qualifications equivalent to Level 2 in both English and Mathematics (or willing to work towards). Personal skills include creativity, being inspirational/able to create a personal impact and being highly motivated.

• Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate learners and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

• Comfortable using instructional technology tools and resources to enhance language instruction and engage learners in digital learning environments.

Desirable criteria: 

• Bachelor's degree in Education, PGCE, QTS or a related field.

• Experience creating engaging and interactive lesson plans that align with the learners’ goals, incorporating a variety of teaching materials, resources,and activities.

• Previous experience in delivering adult education programs.

• Full responsibility of delivering innovative training solutions, based on local priorities and contractual requirements.

• Feedback on training materials, identifying new and creative ways to engage learners

Quality and Continuous Improvement 

• A keen eye for detail with excellent administrative skills and a continuous improvement mindset

• Regular evaluation of your courses to ensure they are adding value to our learners and supporting them to move forwards their personal goals.
