About the role :

As an Employability Trainer, you'll deliver engaging and practical employability programmes to individuals and groups across Hull and East Yorkshire. 

Working within community venues and outreach settings, you'll help participants build the confidence, skills and behaviours needed to move closer to employment, training, apprenticeships or further learning. 

You'll support people from a variety of backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs and helping learners overcome barriers that may be preventing them from reaching their potential. 

No two days are the same, but every day offers the chance to change a life.

You will: 

• Deliver engaging employability workshops and training sessions 

• Support learners on a one-to-one and group basis 

• Develop confidence, motivation and workplace skills 

• Assist learners with CV writing, job applications and interview preparation 

• Help participants identify realistic employment and career goals 

• Adapt delivery to meet individual learning styles and support needs 

• Build strong relationships with local employers and community partners 

• Promote progression into employment, apprenticeships and further learning 

• Track learner progress and maintain accurate records 

• Contribute ideas and best practice to continuously improve delivery

What we're looking for:

We're looking for someone with the right attitude as much as the right experience. 

You'll bring:

• Experience delivering training, coaching, teaching, mentoring or employability support 

• Confidence engaging groups and delivering interactive sessions 

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills 

• Strong organisational and administrative skills 

• Knowledge of employability skills and barriers to employment 

• The ability to motivate and inspire people from diverse backgrounds 

• A genuine passion for helping people achieve their goals Essential 

• Experience supporting people into employment, education or training 

• Strong digital skills 

• English and Maths at Level2 or equivalent 

• Ability to travel across Doncaster to community locations Desirable 

• Teaching, training or coaching qualification (AET/PTLLS or equivalent) 

• Experience delivering funded employability programmes 

• Knowledge of the local labour market 

• Experience working with disadvantaged or hard-to-reach groups
